Jayme Boyd - I’ve known Jason since I was a teenager going to the donut shop. However, recently I’ve had the pleasure of joining him on stage to sing praise and worship music. He was always so encouraging and kind. I’m always a big ball of nerves and insecure about singing, but he brought me out of that. It was a joy every time. One night he had me playing guitar to some really upbeat fast songs (something I would never really do) and I had the best time ! It was so fun to play with him. He made me love music even more. He always thought it was funny when I didn’t know the songs we were singing, it became a joke lol. I’m really going to miss him. He was a kind, loving, Godly soul. He will never be forgotten and forever be missed.

DUSTIN WINDHAM - I don’t know if you remember this, but Jason was also my reason for church. Rubber ducky. Is what you called me back then. Lol. He was my youth pastor as well back then. I would get so glued onto every word he spoke. Even after I wasn’t in youth anymore, he allowed me to stay with him because I loved to hear him preach and teach the word of God. I will miss him and his praise and worship so-so very much. In 2009 he helped me to find my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am forever great full for this man. Thank you, Jesus, for sending him for me. And also for many more he has reached. My prayers go to everyone who loves him so very much!! -

DESTINY DOGGETT - I think Jason made an impact on all of our lives. I am so lucky to have known him and to have witnessed him living out his calling.

KATELEN NOBLE - 14 years ago, a friend of mine told me I had to come and check out this new youth group in town. I had never been a part of a youth group, so I remember being pretty hesitant, but I thank God that Meagan introduced me to this group because it radically changed every part of me. The leadership of Jason Fulbright & Barbara Fulbright is what drove my passion for youth ministry, and lead to me eventually becoming a leader of the very same youth group that shaped me. Jason knew my calling and pushed me to use my gifts to teach and preach God’s word, and to use my creativity to further the multimedia side of the church through video and photography. Even though I hated it when he’d call me up on stage to pray, I knew it was his way of getting me out of my comfort zone. When I eventually moved to Dallas at 14, he and Barbara did whatever they could to make sure I was still involved as much as possible, letting me meet up with them at camp and different events in Dallas and Houston. Their home was a safe haven. You were always welcome, didn’t matter what time. (Oh, except that one time me and Ashely got home at like 4 am. Ashely corrected Katelen that it was 5am. Barbara and Jason called us (Jeremy and myself) their “other kids” and I, too, considered myself just that. I am SURE that Jesus met him at the gate along with all of the people who had gone on before him and were in heaven because of him. The lives he touched, the impact that he made, and his servant heart, will be remembered forever and ever.

JACOB WHEELER - The beach trip is one of many favorites in this youth group! What’s better than the Lord and the beach! And the many nights over at their house playing the Wii and just having fellowship with one another I remember never wanting to leave!

DILLON WINDHAM - I’ll never go to the beach and not see you setting the hook with the whitest set of legs ive ever seen, and most importantly I will never walk into church without seeing you leading the music on stage with a guitar in your hands. You helped me and talked to me through the years about anything I was dealing with. And the answer to my problems always ended the same. Jesus. And you were Jesus for me several times. I love you man and I will miss you dearly. Save me a spot on the drums up there, Because we’re gonna have the angels rocking.

MEAGAN BURNS - That man and youth group changed us all. My favorite lesson he ever preached and that I still have to remind myself of often is that, “tomorrow is an opportunity” -we aren’t guaranteed tomorrow and every day is an opportunity to share God’s love with even just one person.

MADISON TACKETT - Jason Fulbright helped me get an affordable computer so I could finish my first college degree. because of him and others’ help, I received my first college degree and he gave me advice on starting my second, gave me information on programs and standard university protocol. Jason Fulbright made a massive change in many people's lives.

ANONYMOUS - I recently received a call from a guy that has identified as atheist, or agnostic since I’ve known him. He is a close friend of mine and though I’ve tried to witness to him many times, it never got through. He called me yesterday and with a quivering voice, he said “I’ve found the lord. I wanted you to know and I figured you would be happy.” My heart instantly jumped with joy. As we were talking, he said, “there was this man named Jason Fulbright that used to be the youth minister at the church across from Walmart.” “I told him how I felt about religion and he accepted me anyways. He showed me nothing but love and though he would tell me about the lord, he didn’t judge me or push it on me.” I heard that he had passed away and I instantly broke down. While I was fighting my emotions I prayed, and I felt something.” Then I told him that I started going to that same church about a year ago and he told me he knew that there was a reason the lord put it on his heart to call me and let me know. I just want to say that Jason’s testimony will live on forever, and he continues to touch people today. If anything, I know for sure that his passing won at least one soul for the lord.

KAYLA FAULKNER - He was awesome! All these years later he would still check on me, & when I couldn’t get my college stuff to work on my computer, he remotely got on my computer- from his house 8 at night and fixed it all for me. Always so kind & giving

JOSH CRAWFORD - OK, so I have been at work all day just thinking about the news I got this morning. Like all of you, I am still in shock. When I was in HS, Landon Oliver got me to come to CCF and join in with the youth group. That is how I met Jason Fulbright. I looked up to him and thought the world of that guy. He played the drums as I did in school, he was a leader and just an all-around good guy. As I grew up, I still kept in touch with him throughout our careers. Every time the Outreach or me myself needed computer work done, he was the man. Jason Fulbright was a youth pastor, mentor, "the computer guy", drummer, and so on. But I am glad to say that he was my friend. Jason, I can picture you up there now, jamming to DC Talk or someone like that. You were always what I call "The Real Deal" Christian to everyone you met. My favorite bible verse is 1 TIMOTHY 4:12. It speaks about being an example to believers. Buddy, you lived that verse each day. Thank you for all you did and for being that example to so many of us, brother. My family, church, and work will be praying for your family, friends, and community.

Scott Gilchrist - Jason was an awesome example of the way Christ wants us to live. As I reflect on Jason’s life I keep thinking about the words “Live like Jesus” That is exactly what Jason did. No, he was not perfect, Yes, he was a sinner saved by Grace but if anyone ever ask the question “How does God want me to live”? the only thing anyone needs to do is look at how Jason lived his life and follow his example.

Dylan Rowland - I haven't been religious in too long. It's honestly been weighing heavy on my heart. Then today I get a notice that my old preacher passed away today. I've been living without god for a long time, but I think I should reconsider my life and my choices to stray away from religion. He and other members of my church always believed in me, knowing all of my sins. Even when I didn't believe in my self Brother Jason always told me he believed in me. The kindness and compassion he showed me never left me. He was a great man and I am going to start opening my heart to God. It's honestly the least I can do for him and the member of the Church who embraced someone like me as one of their own.
